This week far left, Islamofascist Rep. Keith Ellison had ethics charges filed against him for using his Congressional resources, i.e. Twitter, in announcing his George Soros funded campaign to become Minnesota’s next attorney general. Is this the first that you have heard of it? There’s a reason for that.
Not a single Minnesota media outlet covered the story. That’s right, not one. I’ve long argued that what Minnesota media don’t cover is as important, at times more important, than what they do. This is yet another example.
The Washington Examiner has the most complete story about what is alleged and by whom. They even delve into the relative strengths and weaknesses of some of the claims. The point is that they have reported on the story and our local media have given Ellison another pass. They continue to insist, however, that they are the source you must turn to in order to understand the state and the world in which you live. Laughter at this is the only polite response.
In one sense it’s strange because on balance it isn’t a particularly deadly story: some Congressman has an ethics charge leveled against him, or, another day ending in y. There’s no sense, ultimately, trying to figure out why they blackout some stories but not others. The point is that media bias exists even when there is no media story.
